Excellent value hotel with excellent free Wi-Fi. Comfortable location right in the center of the city, Renaissance style building. And close to 2 major shopping malls, and the shopping centre.

We stayed in a grand deluxe king room which was brand-new. We had a panoramic city view. Location: the hotel was not far from the cafes in Jalan Dhoby, right outside the checkpoint and across from the two major malls in the area, CIQ, and Komtar JBCC and City Square Mall. Easily reached we-notnaC, located around 10-15 minutes walk from the property, had lunch/dinner there.

The breakfast spread is excellent, with a variety of local dishes that are a delight to sample. The outdoor swimming pool offers a great view of the city lights at night.
The check-in process took longer than expected, a hassle right from the start. In the Executive Lounge, I found the timing details lacking. It opens late on weekdays and offers limited food options in between. My air conditioning malfunctioned on the first night. There was a hiccup in communication regarding my belongings during a room change. They called to confirm my checkout while I was assured things were being handled. Lastly, the cleanliness in the rooms could use improvement, as I noticed a cigarette smell lingering in one of them.

Chilling by the pool was lekker, especially with a view of the city lights at night. The staff were really friendly was great, and the brekkie spread was just amazing-live music while you eat, what a vibe!
The air con was a bit noisy, but we just closed our eyes and rocked it anyway, not a major hassle at all.
